I have a special relation with Delhi. My father’s ancestors came to Delhi from Kashmir some 150 years ago, because the emperor liked his poetry at that time. Due to his living on the banks of the canal in Delhi, he came to be known as Nehru from Kol. He had to leave Delhi in the freedom struggle of 1857. The relationship with Delhi was again connected when my father came to Delhi with a procession. My mother’s ancestors were also settled in Delhi for a long time.
