Maharaja Krishna Deva Raya sometimes used to be so comfortable in his court that seeing him one could not say that he was an efficient administrator, a skilled politician and a disciplined ruler. The day when Maharaj showed ease, on that day even the members of the general public would have had fun. Laughter, chuckles, debate, everything would have happened in the meeting hall.
Tenali Rama was the only councilor who understood that Maharaj’s sudden ease and such relaxation of the councilors was also part of his governance policy. With this Maharaj tries to understand the basic tendencies of his members. As soon as there was openness in the councilors, there used to be some turmoil which the Maharaj considered forgivable that day, but his behavior towards the members who were disorderly changed later.
