The Indian National Movement (or Freedom Struggle) was born to challenge British dominance in India. British rule in India started with the conquest of Bengal in 757. Gradually the British captured the whole country. The British completely subordinated the economic and political interests of the Indian people to their selfishness.
As a result of the establishment of British rule, there were many changes in the administration and economy of the country. These changes did not create much anger among the public. He strongly opposed the British rule. The result of this was the revolution of 857. Which shook the roots of British rule. Lakhs of farmers, artisans and soldiers participated in it. Many zamindars and nawabs also participated in it.
