A shoemaker cobbler lived in a farmer’s house with his wife and children. He did not have his own house and his own land. He used to support his family only from the income of making shoes. Bread was expensive for him, but work was cheap. Whatever he earned was spent. The cobbler and his wife had only one fur coat and that too was badly torn. The cobbler had been thinking about buying a sheepskin for a new fur coat for the past two years.
