It’s been more than twenty months since we came here – more than twenty months of my ninth prison visit. The moon of Dooj, twinkling in the dark sky, welcomed us upon reaching here. The bright bright half of the rising moon had begun. Since then every time the new moon rises I am reminded that one more month of my imprisonment has passed. The same thing happened in my last imprisonment period which started with the new moon immediately after the festival of lights, Deepawali. The moon has been a permanent companion of my captive life. With the deepening of identity, friendship has grown further..
